The Anambra State Governor-elect, Prof. Charles Soludo has said he would not be addressed by ‘His Excellency’ title when he assumes office.
The former Central Bank governor added that rather than ‘Your Excellency’, people should address him by his name, Prof. Charles Soludo or simply as Mr. Governor.
Soludo spoke when he inaugurated the transition committee preparatory to his own inauguration as governor, saying: “I was called His Excellency a while ago, but may I plead that the Excellency tag waits for now.

“If that one is so difficult for you that you must be formal in addressing me, then you can address me as Mr. Governor.”
