An Okada rider, Malam Isma’il Abubakar told a Shari’a court sitting at Magajin Gari Kaduna State that he provides four square meals for his wife every day.
While responding to allegations by his divorce-seeking wife, Zainab Saleh that he did not provide food for her, Abubakar insisted she was being fed four times a day.
Zainab said she was done with the 10-year marriage, further alleging that her husband did not respect her parents.
Abubakar, however, prayed the court to give him time to settle the dispute with his wife.
The Judge, Malam Malam Anas Khalifa, asked Saleh to provide witnesses who could testify to her claims.
He ordered the couple to present their parents or guardians by October 2.
