For Mr. Adetokunbo Lukmon Olasupo, a Lagos-based Events Planner and Consultant, life has turned from good to worse for him as he is currently reportedly declared wanted not only by law enforcement agents, but a community in the state.
The reason behind Mr. Olasupo’s present ordeal, for sure, is abominable and reprehensible, yet the manner by which a Lagos community reportedly chose to correct his anomaly has attracted varying interests from non-governmental organisations and the man’s family.
Investigation by our reporter indicated that Mr. Olasupo, a father of one, was caught in the act of having an amorous affair with a fellow male accomplice identified as Femi Oni.
Mr. Olasupo is reputed to be an incurrable bisexual. It was gathered that both Mr. Olasupo and Femi Oni were perpetual gay partners who, investigation revealed, had been in the act for some years now.

It was gathered that, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, Mr. Olasupo and his gay partner were locked up in the latter’s room at Igbe area of Ikorodu Local Government of Lagos State where they continued their illicit sexual act.
But unknown to them, the landlord to Mr. Oni, one Alhaji Kasumu, curious about their perennial indoors escapades, decided to unravel what the two men were up to.
It was also reported that Alhaji Kasumu caught the two men red-handed in their nefarious act and promptly alerted law enforcement agents in the area. The landlord was said to petition the police over the act of the two men.
That was not all: being a respected Islamic religious leaders in the community, Alhaji Kasumu reported the matter to the Muslim community in the area. It was further gathered that the community leaders and police soon launched a manhunt for the duo.
Mr. Olasupo, who soon reportedly left Nigeria for a Concrete Expo in Canada, it was gathered, has had his Lagos residence at No. 11, Abu Street, Harmony Estate, Aboru area of Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of the state visited by these community leaders.
The ordeal of Mr. Olasupo has reportedly attracted some interests to his parents especially his father, who is a known Islamic cleric, but upon the ugly escapade of his son, had to relocate to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, after having been visited by some plain-clothed law enforcement agents on account of his son’s misdemeanour.

All attempts to track Mr. Olasupo down by the police and the Muslim community were futile as he is believed to be currently in far away Canada.
It was gathered upon learning of the manhunt launched against him, Mr. Olasupo is not disposed to returning to fatherland while his gay partner is believed to currently be on the run.
Abominable as their crime is, even before the eyes of the law in Nigeria, vowing to bring justice against them by the Igbe community has been condemned by concerned groups and individuals in the state and beyond.
First, questions are being asked why the matter was not left solely in the hands of law enforcement agents but the Muslim community threatening to meet justice on the gay partners, vowing to kill them for the abominable act.
Having petitioned law enforcement agents, why would the community not allow the government security agents to continue the investigation and make the perpetrators face the consequences of their action before the law.
Taking laws into people’s hands will definitely not put paid to this act but may, willy-nilly, breeds uprising in the community and the state in general. Our reporter visited the house of Mr. Olasupo at Aboru area of the state and was told the accused was currently in Canada and that discussions with him indicated his reluctance to return to the country for fear of dire life.
Also, Nigerian security agents, reputed for human rights violations, are urged to explore full investigations into this matter and similar ones to avoid an untoward backlash from growing gay community in Nigeria. Already, the family of Mr. Olasupo has reportedly moved to prevent any unconstitutional reprimand of their son, who is believed, is the sole breadwinner of his family.
Our reporter also found out from Mr. Olasupo’s neighbour that his wife, Mrs. Omolabake Toyin Olasupo, initially resented her husband’s act threatening to end their years of union. It was also further gathered that after the intervention of her husband’s family, the woman has backed down on her divorce threat and agreed to forgive her husband and go along with him.
In this age and time, Nigerians must learn to be tolerant of one another, no matter the provocation, while law enforcement agents are allowed to conduct thorough investigations on a matter as sensitive as homosexuality and not be buoyed by unwarranted public outcry.
Attempt to get the reaction of Ile Epo Police Station in Agbado/Oke-Odo Local COuncil Development Area of Lagos State to react to the issue was futile as at time of filing this report as our reporter could not get the attention of the officers there when the station was visited.
