A 22-year-old man, Seun Michael, on Friday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly attacking and robbing a woman of her handset phone.
The defendant was, however, remanded in Kirikiri Prisons after his plea was rejected the court.
The police charged Michael , who resides at No. 18, Ikemon St., Ojo, Lagos, with armed robbery.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs M.I. Dan-Oni, who declined his plea ordered that the case file be sent to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Victor Eruada, told the court that Michael and others still at large, allegedly committed the offence on March 2, at 5 a.m. at Iyana-Iba, Ojo area of Lagos.
Eruada alleged that Michael who was armed with knife and cutlasses attacked one Mrs Peculiar Ohgwa, and robbed her of her handbag containing a Techno phone valued at N15,000.
The prosecutor said that the complainant was coming back from a church night vilgil programme when she was robbed.
He said the offences contravened the provisions of sections 299 and 297 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The magistrate adjourned the case until May 24 for mention. (NAN)
