Gunmen kill Osun NURTW boss, APC fingers PDP

A chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), in Isokan lLocal Government Area, of Osun State, Mr. Kazeem Alli, has been killed by some yet-to-be-identified assailants.

Mr. Alli, also said to be a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his locality, was reportedly shot dead by the assailants, on Saturday evening, at Apomu area of the state.

The assailants were said to have trailed Mr. Alli, who was said to be traveling in his car to Oka Alfa area where he was shot dead by gunmen travelling in two vehicles.

Spokesman of the Osun police Command, Yemisi Opalola, could not be reached for confirmation of the incident as at the time of filing this report.

But the Media Adviser to Osun APC chairman, Mr. Kola Olabisi, while confirming the incident in a statement, obtained in Osogbo, condemned the murder of the party chieftain.

The statement which said the “APC chairman, Gboyega Famodun, was apparently disturbed, stated that the killing of the 48-year-old APC chieftain, Kazeem Alli popularly known as Kekere Pasuma, from Ward 6 who performed actively during the last governorship election, was wicked, callous and highly condemnable.

“It was gathered that some gunmen allegedly sponsored by some stalwarts of the People’s Democratic Party on Saturday killed the APC chieftain.”
