Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have struck in Oyo State, abducting two persons, a hotelier and one member of his staff.

The incident, which occurred at the Aba area of Ogbomoso town, was suspected to have been executed by Fulani herdsmen.

The hotelier had reportedly just come back from a trip before his abduction from his hotel by the gunmen, numbering about 10.

The assailants had fired gunshots to scare people away before escaping into the bush with their captives.

Spokesman of the State police Command, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation had commenced.

Ogbomosho is gradually becoming a hotbed of kidnappers, as the area has experienced three incidents this month alone.
