Gunmen abduct Kano Assembly Minority leader’s mother

Some gunmen have abducted the mother of the Minority leader of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Isiyaku Ali Danja.

According to sources, the kidnappers who abducted the woman around 1:00a.m. at Danja Village in the Gezawa Local Government Area of the state, stormed the village in large numbers and made straight for her house.

Hon. Danja confirmed the abduction to journalists, on Wednesday morning. He  noted that the abductors were yet to establish communication with the family.

Kano State Police spokesman, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, did not respond to the calls when called to confirm the report

Gezawa and Minjibir areas of Kano, bordering Jigawa State, are becoming notorious for kidnapping.

Some days ago the younger brother of Sabo Nanono, sacked Minister of Agriculture, was also kidnapped in the same area.
