A group operating under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC), on Tuesday, called on Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari and other elected leaders for a prosperous Nigeria.
Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of ILDC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that, patriotism was better demonstrated by supporting leaders.
He said that Nigerian project was greater than any selfish interest, adding; “Elections have come and gone but we are still Nigerians.
“These elected leaders are chosen by Nigerians to steer the national ship, therefore, supporting them is support for Nigeria,” he said.

Nnam said that political malice or divisions would not take the country anywhere.
The ILDC leader, who congratulated President Buhari on his victory, said that only a synergy between the leadership and followers could engender rapid development.
He described election as a game in which losers and winners were imperative, but cautioned against political vendetta.
Nnam advised losers in the election to try their popularity again in future, a development he said was needful.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, INEC declared President Buhari winner having polled 15,191,847 votes as against Atiku Abubakar’s 11,262,978 votes with a margin of 3,928,869 votes. (NAN)
