The Forum of Mobile Advert Practitioners of Nigeria, has partnered with the Nigeria Legion, under the Ministry of Defence, in the fight to eradicate multiple taxation in Nigeria.
At a ceremony held, at Lafia Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State, to officially kick off the campaign against multiple taxation, the President of FORUM, who spoke on behalf of the organization, Otunba Mike Osimen Eboziegbe, along Chairman Board of Trustee and other members of the Management of FORUM, said the partnership with the Ministry of Defence would help to curb illegal operation and extortion of motorists by fake vehicular tax collectors across the country.

He further said the law that established the Nigeria Legion mass transit scheme and the FORUM of Mobile Advert Practitioners of Nigeria, would help the partnership to work, adding the year 2022 Legion Emblem has officially become a compulsory document for all categories of commercial vehicles driving Nigeria roads.
“This (emblem) will seriously become a very active security back up as members of FORUM and other genuine road tax operators in Nigeria can easily at every point of sight call on the Nigeria Legion uniformed men and squad of the Minister of Defence for immediate arrest and prosecution of operators of illegal vehicular documents and permits across the 36 States of Nigeria, including Federal Capital Territory,” he said.
While speaking on behalf of Nigeria Legion, ACG Akinwunmi Israel Alonge, who is the Legion Corps of Commissionaire, assured members of FORUM of Mobile Advert Practitioners of Nigeria, of their immeasurable support at every point in time when called upon.
Present at the event was the President of Military Widows Association, Mrs. Veronica Aloko, assured FORUM of the association’s support.
