Group brings succour to 50,000 pregnant women in Zamfara

The Child Development Grant Programme (CDGP), a Department for International Development (DFID)-funded scheme and implemented by Save the Children International (SCI) has brought succour to over 52,393 pregnant women, in Zamfara State.

This was disclosed by the Save the Children State Team Leader, Alhaji Tanko Muhammad Langaya, at the presentation of certificates of recognition to some Community Volunteers (CVs) at then close out ceremony of the CDGP in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Langaya said the CDGP would wind up finally in July after successfully being implemented where 52,393 pregnant women across 527 communities in Anka and Tsafe local government areas of the state benefited from the programme, which started in 2014.
