Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has extended his warm felicitations to the Honourable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on his appointment and swearing in as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Justice Ariwoola replaced Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad who stepped down from office as CJN on Monday, June 27, 2022, on health ground.
Ariwoola, it would be recalled, was one of the Supreme Court justices who sacked PDP’s Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State, replacing him with APC’s Uzodinma.

In a statement Governor Uzodimma personally signed on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, he noted that with more than 11 years at the Supreme Court and judicial experience that traversed Lagos, Enugu and Kaduna Divisions of the Appeal Court, the new Chief Justice was “tailor-made for the job.”
Governor Uzodimma added that Nigerians were indeed looking forward to a more robust and responsive judiciary that will sustain the gains of democracy under the leadership of Justice Ariwoola.
The Governor also wished the new Chief Justice a successful and fruitful tenure on behalf of the government and people of Imo State.
