Gov. Uzodimma drops his deputy, Prof. Njoku ahead of Imo gov’ship election

Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Imo state, Governor Hope Uzodimma, has replaced his deputy, Prof. Placid Njoku, with another candidate.
A list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that Governor Uzodimma has dropped Prof. Njoku for a female deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Ekemaru Chinyere Ihuoma.

On his part, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Anyanwu chose a former House of Representatives member, Jones Onyeriri, as his deputy.
Labour Party (LP) has Sen. Athan Achonu as its governorship candidate with a former Member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Tony Nwulu, as his deputy.
