Gov. Sule in trouble as PDP, LP team up to beat APC in Nasarawa

Governor Abdullahi Sule’s ambition for reelection has come under serious threat, as the Labour Party, LP, and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Nasarawa State, have formed an alliance to snatch the Government House from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s gubernatorial and state assemblies elections.

This was disclosed in a joint stakeholders meeting of the two opposition political parties, in Lafia, the state capital.

Making their intentions known, the Nasarawa State Chairman of the Labour Party, Alexander Emmanuel, announced their commitment to ensuring victory for the PDP governorship candidate.

Emmanuel described a section of the party that purportedly endorsed Sule as “saboteurs who did not mean well for the party.

“We are optimistic that we will emerge victorious during the polls because the incumbent governor had done nothing for the wellbeing of residents of the state since his emergence into office on May 29, 2019.

“The people should come out en-masse and vote for the PDP candidate on Saturday, we believe in him because he has what it takes to make Nasarawa State better.”

His counterpart in the PDP, Francis Orogu, appreciated the leadership of the Labour Party in the state for throwing their weight behind the PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu.
