Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, on Wednesday, signed a peace accord to reaffirm his commitment to a peaceful electoral process during the July 16, 2022, gubernatorial polls in the state.
The peace accord is being championed by the Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar-led National Peace Committee.

At the Osogbo signing, on Wednesday, prominent members of the NPC namely Rev. Fr. Hassan Mathew Kukah, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) and several members of the group were on hand to monitored proceedings.
