Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has congratulated a former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, as he turned 61, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Governor Dickson described Ibori as ‘a leader who understands the challenges of the people of the Niger Delta’.
A statement by Governor Dickson’s Special Adviser, Media Relations, , Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, quoted the governor as having said that Ibori demonstrated his love for the Niger Delta and the struggle for better standard of existence in the deprived region.
The governor stressed that Ibori is was leader who understood the challenges of the people of the region.

He also described the former Delta State governor as one leader who understands and supports young people.
He said, “I celebrate with our elder, leader and former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, who clocks 61 today.
“Ibori ranks among top personalities of the Niger Delta who have demonstrated unflinching commitment to and understanding of the issues affecting the Niger Delta over the years.
“He is s leader who understands and supports young people to succeed in politics.
“I join millions of Nigerians to pray to God to give Chief Ibori more years of good health.”
