Gov Bala Mohammed says he could die before second term

 Governor Bala Mohammed  of Bauchi State on has told those scheming his downfall to stop wasting their time as he was not even sure he would be alive to vie for a second term in office.

 Mohammed spoke during the distribution of cash and starter packs to 500 select people in Darazo town, Darazo Local Government Area of the state.

He accused unnamed men in the state, especially those he called Abuja politicians, of plotting to pull him down but hinged his future political aspiration on God.

The governor disclosed that he knew the masterminds of  incidences of kidnappings, as security reports at his disposal showed that those people who had nothing but mischief to offer were responsible for the criminal activities in the state.

He said: “Don’t listen to the Abuja politicians who have nothing to offer other than to pull down Bala Mohammed, Kauran Bauchi.

“By the grace of God, I have become governor with or without them and of course, I will live my time allotted to me by Allah. I may go for a second term, I may not even live to that time; I may go for the presidency, there is nothing they can do. I know what they are doing.

“Those Abuja politicians are not doing anything for us other than bringing mischief. I know some leaders of the state who are busy bringing criminals to the state. I will talk when the time comes. We will prove tough but certainly, we are not afraid of them.”
