Dance exchange is an innovative performance projects that engages wide-ranging communities to create meaningful change in the world.

“That is why we will try to develop the links in the field of dance between the two countries.”

According to him, Nigeria is an important country in Africa and France is willing to develop cooperation with her in all fields, including culture and dance in particular.

He said the French Embassy would work closely with actors and stakeholders in the cultural sector to achieve the desired goals.

He underscored the importance of dance to be a tool that could be used by people to share their feelings and even enter into spaces; “it means a million messages all at once,” he added.

NAN reports that dance exchange was founded in 1976 by Liz Lerman and under the artistic direction Casie Meador since 2011.

Also, every April 29 is set aside by the International Dance Council as “International Dance Day” to promote public awareness of the art of dance globally. (NAN)
