An Islamic foundation, a non-governmental organisation, Sister of Junnah (SOJ), has donated school bags, lunch boxes/bags, water bottles, notebooks, socks and stationeries to over 170 pupils in Abeokuta school, Ogun State, to aid learning in the new academic year.
Addressing the pupils, the new Abeokuta Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Mobolaji Aminu, said that the donations was part of the efforts to make life meaningful and easy for the less privileged students in the society, noting the gesture would encourage the children in their academic pursuit and give hope to the hopeless in the state.

Aminu, while speaking on the theme “Building Hope For The Less Privileged”, charged them to be steadfast and remain focused, advising them to shun acts of social vices, hooliganism, cultism, drug addiction and other immoral acts, culpable of tarnishing their images and their parents.
“Indeed, this kind gesture will have a long way to go and in assisting the parents of those pupils involved, though, it is part of the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in assisting the society, especially the less privileged ones”, Aminu said
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Abdullahi Adebiyi, hailed the organisation for the donation, promised to make good use of the materials, and not to engage in acts of social vices that could jeopardise their academic pursuit.
