Fire razes Kano gov’s residence

The private residence of Governor Abdulahi Ganduje of Kano State, on Nassarawa Street, in the state capital, has been razed by fire.
Saminu Abdullahi, Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, who confirmed the incident, explained that the fire had already been contained before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The fire reportedly broke out at a place where the governor rears cows. Some of the animals died in the inferno, which consumed other multi-million-naira property.
Though the cause of the fire was not immediately known, it was gathered that it started while metal welding was ongoing in the house.
