FIAN presidential candidate, Ayodele Thomas gives recipe to football devt. in Nigeria

A contestant to the office of President of the Football Intermediaries Association of Nigeria (FIAN), Mr. Ayodele Thomas, has called on lovers of the round leather game in the country to rally round to further make the game bring more laurels to the country.

Thomas made the call in Lagos, on Wednesday, in a chat The Nigerian Xpress newspaper. The FIAN elections holds on Saturday, April 6, at the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Thomas, who said he was vying for the coveted seat in the association, urged football lovers in the country to continue to use the sport to promote peace and harmony among Nigerians.

Reeling out a seven-point agenda which he intended to pursue if he eventually get the seat, the Real Estate Developer-football enthusiast maintained that  he would use his position to promote  Establishment of adequate insurance schemes to promote fairness among agents and players; and that he would defend and represents agents and players interests through adequate liability and legal cover.

He also assured that he would promote the collective interest of its professional registered members, while promoting youth development through community liaison in the football family in the country.

Ayodele Thomas, with the slogan, ‘Win-Win Solution’ and ‘Football is business not Charity’ had his educational background in Real Estate Development and Investment Management Experts with over 25 years in the Financial Industry sector,  both in UK and Nigeria.

He is also member of the Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.

His Football management career started as a FA Coach, Level 2 and went on to become Footballing Scout, working with European clubs like Leyton Orient FC UK, Widzew Lodz FC, Poland, Stal Rzeszow FC Poland and several Football academies all over the world.

Thomas is currently an NFF Licensed Intermediary.
