The Federal Government, through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, supply to Independent Petroleum Marketers to avert nationwide scarcity and price hikes.
National Public Relations Officer of IPMAN, Chief Ukadike Chinedu disclosed this, on Friday.
Ukadike said that unlike in the past, the NNPLC, which is the sole importer of fuel in Nigeria, now supplies the product directly to IPMAN members.
He added that the action by NNPCL would make its members sell fuel almost at government-regulated prices.

Recall that fuel availability has been epileptic in Abuja, Lagos, and other cities for Months.
According to Ukadike, “The NNPCL supplied 13 million litres and informed us about it. It cushions the effect of the poor supply in the affected areas. They also promised that they would ensure that marketers are given products regularly.
“That is the situation of things now. The recent PMS supply has helped make the product available in many retail outlets across the country.
“So, with enough supply, the issue of extreme price disparities would be addressed.”
