The Federal University Lafia, on Tuesday matriculated 2, 300 students into six of its faculties for the 2018/2019 academic session.
Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Liman, who spoke during the ceremony, assured the students that the university would continue to award scholarships to students who scored 4 cumulative grade point aggregate (CGPA) and above.
“Any student who has 4 CGPA and above will continue to benefit from the free education scheme of the university as long as such a student maintains the performance,” the VC added.

Liman reminded the students that the university has zero tolerance for examination misconduct and other social vices such as indecent dressing, cultism, drug abuse, among others.
“Any student cut indulging in any of the vices will be disciplined by the management in line with the laws of the university,” he added.
Liman noted that the management would continue to provide efficient leadership and necessary environment for learning and research to thrive.
He commended Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State for constructing network of roads and other infrastructure in the university.
The Federal University Lafia, was established in February 2011 by the Federal Government. (NAN)
