…Commiserate with victims

The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has settled the hospital bills of last weekend’s automobile accident victims.
The Governor, who spoke through the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, commiserated with the accident victims and Special School for the Deaf, Ikoro-Ekiti, during an unscheduled visit to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti.
“His Excellency, Dr. John kayode Fayemi, gave a directive that I should come and see patients that are involved in an automobile accident and I have seen about eight of them, seven are very stable and one in critical condition,” she said.

Earlier, the Principal of the Special School for the Deaf Ikoro-Ekiti,Mr. Adewumi Ojo, described the incident as unfortunate, adding that the accident claimed the lives of two of the staff of the school while others were receiving treatments after sustaining several degrees of injury.
Ojo appreciated the Governor for responding quickly to the situation and for settling the hospital bills of the victims.
Responding on behalf of the victims, Mr. Ogunkuade Samuel appreciated the State Government for paying the hospital bills and thanked the Governor for prioritizing the good health of Ekiti people regardless of their condition
