The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured the Christian and Muslim pilgrims of quality service during the 2019 exercise.
FAAN Regional General Manager for North-central, Mr. Mahmud Sani, disclosed this on Monday when he received Rev. Tor Uja, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
He acknowledged the long-standing relationship between FAAN and the commission.
Sani lauded the collaboration of the commission through the years, and assured of FAAN’s support towards attaining greater efficiency for the comfort of pilgrims at the airport.
In his remarks, Uja praised FAAN’s achievements in its operations all over the country.

He called for stronger synergy between the two agencies in pilgrims’ enlightenment, particularly on areas of protocol and airport formalities.
The Executive Secretary described this as important especially aince international travelers formed majority of those performing pilgrimage.
Uja also appealed to FAAN to improve facilities at the pilgrims’ departure centres just as those at the international wing of the airport.
He specifically mentioned adequate lighting and provision of air conditioning in all the areas where the pilgrims would assemble.
He commended the quality of the facilities at the Abuja airport describing them as being of world standard. (NAN)
