Alhaji Ahmed Dogara, Former Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State on Monday urged the Federal Government to strengthen mechanised farming system in the country.
Dogara made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna.
He said the system would effectively boost all-year-farming method in the production of assorted food crops across the country.

Dogara also called on the Federal Government to provide modern agricultural facilities to farmers at affordable rates.
He explained that making farming inputs affordable would help to encourage more people into the trade.
“We have all that it takes to produce what we can eat as well as exporting them,’’ Dogara said.
He said it was important for the government to invest more in the sector so as to create massive employment for unemployed youths. (NAN)
