The Chairman, Transition Committee, Ewekoro Local Government Chairman, Hon.Olumuyiwa Babayemi, has said that the welfare of his staff, just like the wellbeing of his good people in the council area is paramount in his mind, saying, “it is in line with the commitment of the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the people of the state.”
Babayemi made the remark recently during the flagging off of the construction of 3-units of 2-bedroom flat staff quarters at Adumbu area of the Local government, stating that, “the step is in an apparent move to ensure the safety and the wellbeing of his staffs of the council who travel from far places to their offices.”
The chairman at the occasion reiterated his administration commitment towards ameliorating accommodation problems with a view to easing the suffering and risk involved in daily trips to their duty posts, asserting that, the development would also serve as a morale booster for the staff.
“It is when the staff morale is boosted that the workers can put in their best. And having appreciating the fact that, to whom much is given, much is expected, the workers, I know, would also reciprocate this gesture by being more committed and dedicated to duty for the growth, development and progress of this council area,” Obayemi submitted.
According to him, “our commitment to the welfare of the workers, dedication to the development of the Local Government is in line with the efforts of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, whose love for the development and progress of the is equal to none in the country.”
“We are emulating and following the footsteps of our mentor, role model and leaders, Governor Abiodun, whose performances and achievements in all the spheres of economic sector in a very short time in office is heart-warming and praise-worthy. So, we therefore commend him for his patriotic sacrifices to move the state to the next level of enviable standard,” Babayemi declared.
Ogun State Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Afolabi Afuape, who was present at the foundation-laying ceremony alongside Hon Commissioner for Community Development and Co-operatives Hon Ganiu Hamzat, also echoed the Chairman’s submission admitting that, “Governor Abiodun is a vanguard of development, hard work and peaceful co-existence.
The duo therefore seized the opportunity to enjoined the people of the Local Government and the state generally to keep on giving Abiodun’s administration the deserved support and cooperation to encourage the administration to do more for democracy dividends to keep on flowing to the doorsteps of all and sundry.
Other dignitaries at the event were, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Olunla of Itori, Oba Abdul Fatai Akorede Akamo, HRM Oba Abdul Gafar Olasunkanmi Tijani ( Alawowo of Awowo), APC senatorial Chairman Hon Anthony Ojesina and Chairman, Ogun state Bulk purchasing Corporation, Hon Dele Obadina.
Also present were, former House of Representatives Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Lekan Oderinde, Dr Olanloye former Ogun state Local Government Service Commission, Dr Olanloye and Mr Owolabi HOLGA of Ewekoro Local government among other.
The Chairman’s wife, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babayemi was all over the place to make sure that all the guests at the foundation laying ceremony were comfortable.
