Election: Security agencies conduct show-of-force in Plateau

Less than 48 hours to the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, security agencies in Plateau State have conducted a show of force in the state.

Addressing the personnel before the exercise, Mr Aliyu Tafida, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of operations, said the exercise was aimed at ensuring peaceful elections in the state.

According to him, the show of force is not to intimate members of the public, but let the residents know of its readiness to provide adequate security during the polls.
