“When the exercise started, every member of the party was expected to comply with the guidelines of the party and assist the Congress committee complete it’s assignment,” the elders said.
The Elders therefore found it curious for any member or group of members to insist that unilateral and unsupervised congresses conducted without authorization and authority of the Congress Committee be accepted by the party.
“Indeed, what the so-called repositioning group led by Senator Biodun Olujimi  did was a clear lawless breach of the patty’s Congress guidelines.
“We therefore stand by the results of the congresses as conducted and announced by the Congress committee set up by the National Working Committee of the party and call on the party leadership to ignore the antics of some members which can destabilize of the party.”
