A former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni, has announced his intention to dump the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the upcoming state gubernatorial election.
Oni, the first-runner up in the just-concluded PDP governorship primaries said that he is withdrawing his party membership.

According to sources close to him, however, Oni was yet to indicate the party he would be defecting to as at time of filing this report, it was understood that he was looking for a party where he would contest the governorship election.
