Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has sworn in four new commissioners into his cabinet 20 days before his exit from office.
The new commissioners were sworn in, on Tuesday, May 10, at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, in Abakaliki, the state capital.

The new commissioners were Enekwachi Akpa, a former senior special assistant (SSA) to the governor on local government, chieftaincy matters and rural development; Obianuju Aloh, a former SSA to the governor on aviation and technology; Emeka Nwode, a former SSA to the governor on legal matters and Uchenna Nwankpuma, a former special assistant to the governor on projects.
The governor advised the commissioners to use the opportunity available to leave a legacy in their services to the state and humanity.
Governor Umahi also received the 400 newly-recruited staff of the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport (MBIA), Onueke, in the state.
He appealed to them to exhibit the highest level of commitment and patriotism in the discharge of their duties, saying the airport is one of the prime projects of the state.
