Out of favour Nigerian international, Brown Ideye has asked Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr to give him a fresh chance to prove himself in the AFCON 2019 bound team.
The 27-year-old striker has failed to rediscovered his goal scoring form since joining Segunda Division side, Malaga on loan from Tianjin Teda netting just one goal in 13 appearances.
The former Bayelsa United and Sochaux of France goal poacher who was in Nigeria’s squad that won the 2013 African Cup of Nations has failed to impress Gernot Rohr since his appointment as Nigeria’s manager.

Ideye, however, believes he has what it takes to make Super Eagles return.
In his words: “I just hope I get another chance to prove myself. It’s true that the team is loaded with high-profile strikers but I am confident I can still break into the squad.”
Speaking on his present club, Malaga, Ideye stated: “I am absolutely delighted that I joined Malaga and starting a new chapter in my career. It’s a special and massive club with rich tradition. It’s an ideal place to continue to develop my game. I have put all the difficult times behind me and now concentrating on working hard and helping my new team return to the Spanish La Liga.’’
