Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Neptune, has criticised the Nigerian Senate, accusing its members, under the leadership of Sen. Godswill Akpabio, of prioritising personal gain over national interest.
His scathing comments came in the wake of the suspension of Senator Abdul Ningi, who had raised allegations of budget padding during a tumultuous session of the Senate, on Tuesday.
In his outspoken critique, DJ Neptune condemned the actions of the Senate, asserting that the institution is plagued by self-serving agendas rather than a dedication to the welfare of the nation.

“No senator is serving Nigeria but their pockets,” the DJ declared, reflecting a growing sentiment of disillusionment among many Nigerians towards their political representatives.
The controversy surrounding the 2024 budget, exacerbated by Ningi’s suspension, has reignited concerns about transparency and accountability within Nigeria’s legislative body.
