Dangote, IPMAN agree on direct supply of fuel

Dangote Refinery has finally reached an agreement with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN to sale PMS, AGO, and DPTVK directly to members for distribution to depots and retail outlets across the country.

The agreement, according to the IPMAN president, is to make the product available at retail outlets.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) had earlier accused Dangote Refinery of selling fuel at a more expensive rate than the imported ones.

But Mr Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote said there was no way IPMAN and PETROAN could sell imported fuel cheaper than what his company was offering unless such products are of low quality or adulterated.

Dangote revealed it was selling a litre of pms at N960 to ships while at N990 to petrol truckers.

This, however, has raised the question of the government’s sincerely in reducing the cost of petrol in the country.
