COVID-19 Rep. Agbo distributes relief items to Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo constituents

House of Representatives member representing Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue State, Dr. Francis Otta Agbo has begun distribution of foodstuffs and other household items to his constituents to help them cope with the hardships caused by the coronavirus virus pandemic.

Dr. Agbo said while flagging off the distribution of the items in Ado that the gesture was in fulfilment of his campaign promise to rejoice with his people when occasion demanded and empathise with them any moment they faced difficulties.

“In the build up to my election in 2019, I promised to laugh whenever my people laugh and vice versa. In line with this, I identify with Enone in this difficult period of hunger, induced by COVID-19,” the lawmaker said.

Items distributed to the people include bags of foodstuffs, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, soap, detergents and medical kits.

The distribution, which began in Ado last week is being extended to Okpokwu and Ogbadibo, the three local government areas making up the federal constituency.
