The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has advised its members to strictly comply with the safety guidelines given by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as factories resume operations, following easing of the lockdown imposed by the Federal Government  in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This, according to the Acting Director-General of MAN, Ambrose Oruche, is to prevent disruptions in production.

He told member-companies to evolve an infectious disease preparedness action plan in order to reduce the risk of exposure in the workplace and duly inform all  the workers.

Oruche said, “While we appreciate the concern of the government at the various levels to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus, the MAN will also prevail on members to adhere to all precautionary measures such as social distancing, use of face masks, washing of hands and provision of sanitisers at work places.”
