The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State in the House of Representative Hon. Chinedu Ogah (OON), has distributed 39 motorcycles and 11 Tricycles to members of his constituents as empowerment scheme, to cushion the effects of the hardship created by the corona virus pandemic.
Hon. Ogah is the only federal Lawmaker out of the six National Assembly members from the state, that was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking during the occasion held at his country home Item Amegu Ikwo on Saturday, Ogah said that the event was organised amidst the ravaging pandemic to enlighten and empower members of his constituents and other party faithfuls in this trying period.
“This meeting was convened for us to brainstorm, listen to medical resource persons on health talks and other precautionary measures to be observed to prevent the virus from entering Ebonyi State.
“We equally use this event to distribute empowerment schemes notably Tricycles, motorcycles, to the people in order to cushion the effects created by the lockdown of activities”

Hon. Ogah stressed the importance of the sensitisation awareness campaign with emphasis on health talks and it’s compliance describing it as panacea to contain the dreaded pandemic corona virus ravaging the universe.
Highlights of the event was the presentation by medical experts on health talks to the people on precautionary tips notably washing of hands with running waters, use of sanitisers, environmental cleanliness and social distancing among others.
Other items distributed to members of the constituents comprising elderly men, women, youths, widows and indigents included soaps, undisclosed amount of cash among others.
Hon. Ogah restated that he had secured employment for over 55 graduates of his Constituency in Federal Ministries/ Departments and Agencies.
“I have equally procured 3,000 bags of fertilisers to be distributed to farmers of my Constituency in no distant time”
In an interview with newsmen, three of the beneficiaries of the Tricycles and motorcycles namely Mr. Acho Paul Nwareke from Ndegu Amegu ward 1, Mrs. Akuma Chidi and Mr. Iganga Sunday from Ndegu Amegu ward 2, commended Hon. Ogah for his philanthropic gesture, describing him as a worthy representative of the Constituency.
The occasion also had in attendance All Progressives Congress (APC) ward Executive from the 31 electoral wards that make up Ikwo and Ezza south Federal Constituency in addition to notable members of the party in the area among others.
