Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum, PDPGF, has declared an end to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The governor has thus brought a confusing twist to the ongoing crisis in the party by failing to give details of how the matter was settled.
He simply disclosed that the PDP governors had resolved the factional differences in the party’s National Working Committee, NWC.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, who spoke to newsmen on Tuesday at the Private Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, was in company with the acting National Chairman, Ambassador Illiya Umar Damagum.
“The crisis is over. The governors,” Mohammed declared.
The governor, who was heading to Ondo State for a PDP governorship campaign rally added: “The Board of Trustees, and other organs have resolved that the NWC should revert to the status quo. They are now united.”
He also said suspensions from both factions had been lifted.
Damagum who also confirmed that the crisis was over, said: “The party is united, and no members of the NWC left before.”
