The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCRFMI) has donated relief materials to victims of flood and insurgency in Jibia Local Council of Katsina State.
Hajiya Sadiyya Farouq, the Commissioner of NCRFMI, presented the relief materials to Alhaji Babangida Nasamu, Chairman of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) on Monday in Jibia.
According to Farouq, the items include food, cooking utensils, mats, blankets, roofing sheets, cups, plates, cement, roofing nails and other materials to cushion the effects of the disaster.
Farouq urged the victims not to sell the relief materials but to use them judiciously.

Earlier, the Chairman of Jibia Development Association, Alhaji Ahmed Rabiu, commended the Federal Government for providing the relief materials.
Nasamu assured the commission that the materials would be distributed to the 750 households affected by the incidents about seven months ago.
It will be recalled that the Boko Haram victims were those that migrated to Katsina State from Borno and Yobe states. (NAN)
