Come 2O23, we’ll take over Kwara Govt. House – YPP

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has said it would do everything possible to capture Kwara State come 2023 general elections.

National Secretary of YPP, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, made this known in Ilorin while monitoring conduct of the Ward and Local Government congresses of the party in the state.

He was speaking at Adewole Ward of Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state at the election and inauguration of ward Bamaiyi said the party had what it takes to take over the leadership of the country.

According to him, Bamaiyi the party had embarked on ‘ballot revolutions’ ahead of the 2023 general elections with massive sensitization of young people to change the narratives in the country.

He added that the ‘ballot revolution’ was not the bloody type one about preparing the minds of young Nigerians to get into the mainstream politics and supporting themselves to take over political leadership at all levels in the country.

This he said would be achieved  through the ballot box with the voters card of the young Nigerians and their determination to change the old guards.

Bamaiyi called on the youths to take their destiny in their hands, by registering for the Permanent Voters Cards, PVC which would  afford them the opportunity to participate in the 2023 elections.

He counselled the younger generation not to allow themselves to be toyed with and deceived by politicians who never meant well for the country with enough evidences to show their negative actions and intentions towards youth.

Also speaking, leader of the INEC team to monitor the exercise, Assistant Electoral officer Mohammed Sanni Abubakar said the exercise was in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
