CAFCC: Enyimba to pocket CAF’s N175m

...Set to hit Cairo with chartered flight

By George Aluo

For reaching the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba International is to smile to the bank with $350,000 (about N175m).
The People’s Elephant got to the knockout stage of the tournament after beating South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in a game Cyril Olisemah struck in the very last minute.
Enyimba has been drawn to face Pyramids in the quarterfinal with the team going away first. And talking about the trip to the land of the Pharaohs, Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has resolved that the team won’t face the rigour of going by regular commercial airlines.
Ikpeazu, we gathered, is set to arrange another chartered flight for the team as he did when they (Enyimba) faced Ahli Benghazi away in Benghazi, Libya.
Enyimba’s biggest challenge this season has been the way they travel for their away games, a situation that has seen them not getting results away from home.
The Aba giants were almost going to be walked over against Ahli before Ikpeazu got Airpeace to airlift the team to Libya.
