It seems that the last has not been heard about the alleged appointment of Buhari’s social media aide, Bashir Ahmad with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

After Ahmad had issued a denial via a tweet, the Peoples Gazette, which published the story on Ahmad getting a juicy position with the DPR, released his alleged appointment letter.

The letter, with reference number DPR/PE/03 was dated January 19, 2021.

According to its content, Admad who is still employed as Buhari’s media aide, will earn N437,000.00 aside from other benefits

Ahmad had in a tweet refuted the Peoples Gazette’s story, saying he does not know where the DPR office is situated other than the fact that it is in Lagos.

The newspaper had reported how Ahmad would still retain his position as a media aide to President Buhari and, therefore, draw a dual salary.

The letter was addressed to Ahmad in the Presidential Villa, Three Arms Zone, Abuja and signed by Sarkin Auwalu, Director and CEO of DPR.
