Plans by the Nigeria Football Supporters Club to build a befitting National Secretariat has received royal boost as the Oloto of Otoland, Lagos, Chief Buhari Alade donated building materials worth thousands of naira to hasten work on the project.

He made the donation while on an inspection visit to the site located inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The Oloto who was happy with the efforts of the club to erect their own structure described the members as patriotic citizens who use their hard earned money to support the national teams and bring joy to the citizens, enjoining them to be focused and united to achieve their goals.

Earlier while welcoming him to the site, President General of the club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo stated that the club decided to develop the site allocated to it about 25 years ago by the national Sports Commission in order to have a befitting secretariat that will serve as a legacy for members of the club.

“This land was allocated to us by the National Sports Commission about 25 years ago but because we spend all our  money travelling to various parts of the world supporting the national teams, it has been difficult for us to develop it.

“But, now, we’ re committed to ensuring that we have a secretariat of our own and that is why we’re grateful to the Oloto for his gesture,” Ladipo said.
