President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday night, played host to those considered ‘critical stakeholders’ in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The President hosted the party’s founding fathers to a dinner at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

In attendance at the dinner were National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the first Interim Chairman if the party, Chief Bisi Akande; Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbomnaya Onu; a former Governor of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha; a former Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and a former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Wammako.
Others were Governors Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State; Aminu Masari of Katsina State and Minister of Transportation, Honl. Rotimi Amaechi.
Also in attendance at the dinner were Chairman, Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party, Governor Mai Mala Buni and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)m Mr. Boss Mustapha.
The dinner, it was gathered, was hosted by President Buhari to show appreciation to the stakeholders for their continued support, understanding and cooperation with his administration.

The engagement was also in furtherance of efforts by the President at ensuring a rancour-free and successful National Convention of the party, on Saturday.
However, details of the interactive dinner, held behind closed doors, were not made known to reporters.
