BREAKING: Senate recalls Abdul Ningi from suspension
The Senate has pardoned and recalled Abdul Ahmed Ningi, senator representing Bauchi central, from suspension.
The upper legislative chamber recalled Ningi following a motion sponsored by Abba Moro, minority leader; Olalere Oyewumi, senator representing Osun south; and Osita Ngwu, senator representing Enugu west.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, emphasised the senator’s resourcefulness and described him as a valued member of the Senate, adding that the decision to recall Ningi transcends religious and ethnic divides.
Ningi was suspended in March 12, for alleging that the 2024 budget was padded by N3 trillion.
