243 members of the House of Representatives on Thursday backed the state of emergency rule imposed in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu.
The lawmakers threw their weight behind the president’s action through a voice vote.
Aside from adopting the president’s move, they also recommended that a national committee should be set up to mitigate and restore peace back to Rivers State while the National Assembly should take over the activities of the Rivere state Assembly within six months.
