Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appealed to Lagosians to shun the August 1 nationwide protest, saying Lagos can not afford to fall to violent protest.
The governor spoke while addressing journalists at the State House, Ikeja on Wednesday evening on the eve of the protest.
“Let us not allow our city to be plunged into chaos again. Lagos remains the safest city. We must reject violence and disorder. Let us say no to any form of violence. Our shared goals is a prosperous Lagos. Our government is open to dialogue,” he said.
