Boko Haram insurgents, on Monday, attacked a military base in Borno State.
It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the Tamsukawu in Kaga Local Council base in five gun trucks, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ (‘God is great’ in Arabic).

The Commander, Sector 3 of Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), in Maiduguri, Modu Fannami, confirmed the attack, addibg that the Boko Haram insurgents were adorned in military uniform.
He explained that the gun duel between the soldiers and the terrorists lasted for over an hour, until a fighter jet and some ground troops, reinforced the few soldiers at the base and repelled the Boko Haram terrorists.
Fannami further said the number of casualties on both sides is not yet ascertained.
