Bobrisky will be protected from sexual abuse in male cell – NCS
Having breast and facial looks will not spare Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky from being thrown into the male section of the Kirikiri correctional service, the Peoples Gazette quoted a spokesman of the Nigeria Correctional Service, said.
Bobrisky who was slammed with a six-month prison time with no option of fine.
He will be spending the six months in a male cell even though he has largely transitioned into a woman, having female features, including breasts and enlarged buttocks. He also relishes in female outfits.
Despite all the female characteristics, Bobrisky himself told Justice Abimbola Awogboro that he is a man.
According to the Gazette, a spokesperson of Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) said Bobrisky will be kept in the male section of the prison facility throughout his six-month imprisonment.
“Since he admitted to being a male in court, then we have to abide by what was submitted in court,” the Gazette quoted a correctional spokesperson.
“He shouldn’t be afraid of sexual assault from other male inmates because our men can give him protection,” the spokesperson added.
The judge handed the maximum sentence of six months of jail time for the crime of Naira abuse to Bobrisky. He is the first convict to be slammed with that sentence without the option of a fine despite that he pleaded guilty to the offense.
