According to him, the governor’s simple disposition also made the last general elections peaceful in the state.
This, according to Oredipe, has made the state not to be among the flashpoints of election violence in the country.
He continued, “So his body language actually dictated what happened during the elections .
“We had very successful elections in Bayelsa State in 2023 general elections.

While commending people of the wtate for their peaceful conduct during the polls, Oredipe also lauded the security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders. including the traditional rulers for their roles in changing the narrative for the better, stressing that the security agencies were carrying out investigations on the few reported violent incidents and expressed hope that the perpetrators would be arrested and prosecuted.
“We want to appreciate the traditional rulers who stood firm and support to actually see that peace is possible in their domains.”
He added that with the peace that has enveloped the state in the last three years,
Oredipe noted that the state was now investors’ heaven because Governor Diri was committed to the development of the state especially with the peace that has enveloped the state in the last three years.
“A man who has shown that he is committed to the development of the state because without security , peace genuine development can’t take place, investors can’t come. But now , Bayelsa is now investors’ heaven”.
