Bayelsa FCC NUJ holds lecture on 2023 elections, insecurity

Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen.  Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and a Professor of Law, Solomon Ebobrah, will head the 8th Annual Public Lecture  of the Federated Correspondents Chapel (FCC) NUJ Bayelsa State Council.

With the theme, ‘Ensuring Free & Fair Elections in the Face of Security Challenges’, Sen. Ewhrudjakpo will be the Chairman of the event while Prof. Ebobrah, who is the Director of the Institute of Niger Delta Studies, Niger Delta University (NDU), will be the Guest Lecturer.

In a statement from Comrade Samuel Ese, Chairman of the Lecture Organising Committee, the lecture will hold at the Matho Crystal Hotel, Imiringi Road, Yenagoa, on Thursday, December 15.

Comrade Ese, who urged leaders of political parties in the state, NGOs and members of the public to attend the event due to  the importance of the  issues to be raised at the lecture, also said that the event would future several subjects of importance on the 2023 elections and security situation in Nigeria.

“The theme of the lecture is apt considering the level of insecurity in the nation leading up to the 2023 general elections.”
